“2017 proved to be a banner year for Oregon’s growing wine industry as it continued its upward trajectory from strength to strength.
Oregon is considered the country’s third or fourth largest wine producer. It ranks third, after California and Washington, if only vinifera grapes are considered, but ranks fourth, after New York, if American and hybrid grape varieties are also considered.
Over the last year, the overall number of vineyards in Oregon increased to 1,144 from 1,056. The total planted acreage increased by 3,000 acres, or 10.5%, from 30,435 to 33,361.” 🎉😊
