“At Bodego El Esteco, they view their region, the
Calchaquí Valley, as a magical place to be admired,
not understood. Of course it does not make sense…
this is like no other wine region in the world.
Very high altitude. Extremely poor soil. Extreme
temperatures. It resembles Mars, or some other
odd-looking planet. It does not make sense that
extraordinary wines can be produced in this harsh
environment.”
