Remember this wine? The 2008 Rusack Vineyards Syrah, from Santa Barbara California, scored 93 points and became the 27th Best Wine in the world in 2011 when it was released (Wine Spectator Top 100 list). I just opened a bottle for dinner tonight. It is deep dense in color with a richness the same. Fruity nose, and black cherry with hints of coffee lingering in your mouth. What is still hard to believe is that this wine was only $25. Begging, I was able to get six bottles. Tonight is a real treat!
